B.W. has spent more than 25 years performing in a wide range of musical settings, making him comfortable stepping into an established group and adapting quickly to the music, musicians, and needs of the performance.
Available for guest performances, substitute work, and recording sessions, B.W. can contribute on vocals, guitar, bass, keyboards, low brass, accordion, and even washboard.
Whether filling in for a missing player, joining an ensemble for a particular performance, adding another voice or instrument to the mix, or contributing to a recording project, he brings preparation, versatility, and extensive experience to every stage and situation.
VERSATILITY ON STAGE AND IN THE STUDIO
B.W.’s experience as a multi-instrumentalist has taken him into a wide variety of musical settings, from rock and acoustic performances to folk ensembles, musical theater, and beyond.
Depending on the needs of the group, he may step in as a primary instrumentalist, add vocals and harmonies, or contribute an additional instrument or texture to an existing arrangement.
That flexibility has allowed him to perform with established bands, small acoustic groups, larger ensembles, and artists whose music calls for something a little outside the usual guitar-bass-keyboard lineup.
ORCHESTER PRAŽEVICA
B.W. has performed with bandleader Tomas Drgon since 2018, when he first joined him on trombone for the inaugural Balkan Chestnut Festival. He soon began playing with the group regularly on bass, while also switching to trombone and accordion as needed.
In 2025, when finding a drummer whose availability matched the band’s became increasingly difficult, B.W. stepped into yet another role: percussion. He began playing washboard, but after the first performance, it was clear that the band’s Eastern European fusion sound was missing the low-end “thump” of a kick drum. His solution was to turn an old accordion into a suitcase-style kick drum, mounting a microphone inside and playing it alongside the washboard.
What began as a practical solution became another way for B.W. to adapt to what the music—and the band—needed.
You can catch B.W. performing with Orchester Prazevica twice a month at Madam’s Organ Blues Bar in Washington, D.C., on rotating Fridays and Saturdays from 7–9 PM.
